Traveling is so exciting that sometimes we can forget the very basics of what makes our everyday lives go round. That’s why it’s important to make a list of everything you use daily and check that list off right before you head out the door to make sure you’ve got it all. Up next are the top six things people forget to pack when traveling. Use this list to create a list of your own in a notebook so you don’t forget any of them on your trip.

Chargers

Phone chargers, laptop chargers, camera chargers – all the chargers are in the category of most likely to be forgotten when you’re traveling. This usually happens because you are using the charger right up until you’re traveling and forget it in a socket. That’s why you must, must, must create a list and check it off like Santa does before you hop on your sleigh or plane. (yes a cheesy association, but it will help you remember).

Toothbrush

The number of toothbrushes I have purchased over my time traveling should amount to a nice tidy sum for my bank account. Toothbrushes always get forgotten because you use them on the day of traveling and can’t pack them ahead of time. Put them on that list so you can check it off.

Documents

Remembering your documents for traveling should always be at the top of your list. However, sometimes, we think we’ve packed something when we haven’t. It’s that idea of – I’m sure I have so I don’t need to check. Place all the documents you need on your list and check them before you leave your home.

Sanitizing Wipes

After the time we’ve been through in the past few years, sanitizing wipes are an essential. Also, you never know of the condition of the airport bathrooms, plane bathrooms, transportation or really anywhere else you might want to sanitize. These wipes can be purchased at the airport for significantly more than you pay at your local store. So remember to put them on your list.

Electronics and accessories

Do you need an extra SD card, a mic, a lighting source, a camera, a backup battery, or a tripod? There are a ton of things you might need in terms of electronics and accessories when it comes to your trip. And oftentimes, if one of them is forgotten, you’re going to spend a lot of time and money replacing them at your destination. Put each thing on your list no matter how big or small it is.

Body Health Necessaries

Whether it’s an allergy pill, pain relief, vitamins, or any other thing you need for you to feel great on your trip – write it in the notebook. This is one of those things that you may use right up to your travel date and assume you’ve packed. Never assume – list it and cross it off.

First Aid

It’s a great idea to pack band-aids and anti-septic on your trip. Sure, you can probably find it at your destination when you need it, but it doesn’t take that much space and when you’re wandering and skin a knee, you can easily take care of it. So put it on the list and check it off before you leave.

Key Takeaways

If you are able to pack all of the above things before you take off on your trip, you should be good to go. If you think there are other essentials that I’ve missed, let me know. Traveling is one of the greatest gifts, so hope you enjoy your adventure and come back renewed.
